You may have landed here from our news page. In which case you’ll know we created 3 new cream based cocktails for you to try at home. They’re all cream based (as this is what we had left over) so they’re perfect for Christmas. Let’s start with the pictures, to show what the finished product is like.

Tobago Afternoon, Snowdrift and Midnight Blue
Tobago Afternoon, Snowdrift and Midnight Blue

From left to right we have the Tobago Afternoon, with a Caribbean flavour to it, Snowdrift (named for obvious reasons – hopefully !) and the Midnight Blue (which has blue ingredients and yet came out sort of green !)

Anyway for those wanting to try these new beauties at home, the recipes are as follows. All are to be shaken in a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour the result into elegant Martini glasses like these here. Here’s the lowdown ;
  • Tobago Afternoon - 2 measures cream, 2 Advocaat, 1 Malibu and 3/4 creme de bananes
  • Snowdrift - 2 measures cream, 1 parfait amour, 1 Bacardi and 1 white creme de cacao.
  • Midnight Blue – 2 measures cream, 1 blue curacao, 1 Cointreau

The assembled panel all thought the 3 were great. I personally think the Tobago Afternoon could do with less cream as the Advocaat is creamy anyway but apart from that they all come recommended. If you do try these or any other new ones at home, let us know at fun@cocktailshakerboys.co.uk. We’re always interested in new ideas. We like making ‘em, you like drinking them ! We can also help you put together a mouth watering range of cocktails at your wedding reception. We can even come up with appropriate names and new recipes if this is what you want !
