Winter warmer cocktails – new concept for December

Winter warmer cocktails. Us boys are keen to try a new concept for December. We’re currently in talks with a private members club in Market Harborough to offer a range of winter warmers to their members for a period of an hour and a half or so after late night shopping in Market Harborough on Friday 2nd December 2011.

We’re working on offering a range of malts, cognac and armagnac as well as the more fiery liqueurs such as Grand Marnier, Southern Comfort and Chartreuse. Then of course, to live up to our name, it’ll be Rusty Nails, the Sicilian Kiss and B&Bs all the way. Who said a warming winter drink had to be pronounced gluhwein? Certainly not us.

Christmas cocktails with the Cocktail Shaker Boys

Christmas party cocktails being served up at many parties over Christmas and New Year. December is proving to be the busiest month yet for the Cocktail Shaker Boys. Not surprising I guess. If you’re not busy shaking, mixing and stirring over Christmas, then frankly when will you be?!

We have birthday parties in Leicester, a social club Christmas party, as well as the 2 over New Year : one serving cocktails to a group in Leicester and a new format we’re trying for Market Harborough over new year.

Shame we can’t get them used to the idea of showing the drink off when they have their picture taken – but then I guess you can’t have everything.

Most popular drink at this party was our own in-house creation the St. Louis. We’ll post the recipe soon – probably on Facebook, stand by !

Cocktails at office party

Cocktails at the office Christmas party. A new format for the Cocktail Shaker Boys and a great time had by all. We were commissioned to run an interactive cocktail making workshop at offices up at the Point yesterday. We ran this late afternoon, and then the client team got their taxis into town for their Xmas night out.

We got the team making a cocktail each, and then they marked each of the 10 drinks made. The 10 we made were the Tequila Sunrise, Pina Colada, Grasshopper, Green Apple Martini, Brandy Alexander, B52, Belly Dancer, Sicilian Kiss, Long Island Iced Tea and Mojito. So some old classics combined with some of the new kids on the block.

And Rob Webb said of the cocktail event he commissioned “Thanks so much for the event yesterday – it was absolutely fantastic and a very good start to a most enjoyable evening.”

Cocktails at the Angel – Market Harborough

Perhaps a slight hangover for some members of the Market Harborough Breakfast Club this morning, judging by the number of pre-dinner cocktails they knocked back last night ! But still we had a great night serving cocktails to the guests at the Angel Hotel in Harborough.

We served Grasshopper (one of our favourites as you know), the classic green apple martini, Tequila Sunrise and Kir Royale. Plus we offered our in-house developed mocktail the Pacific Sunrise for the drivers. Not that there appeared to be many of them. And we’re even going to try adding a short movie too of some of the action ! Though we’re having some technical issues with this at the moment.

Cocktails at lunchtime ?! Who’d have thought it ?! We always associate cocktails with evening. And to be honest that’s when they’re at their best : when you can relax and you don’t have deadlines.

However today Tuesday 17th November, we’re off to make some cocktails with Tracey and Elaine who are preparing an article for the December edition of WOW magazine.

We believe cocktail making at home should be fun and made as simple as possible. Cocktails can be a glamorous talking point at your party or social event in Market Harborough and beyond.

Admittedly we’re a bit biased, but serving cocktails at your home or party venue to your guests as they arrive sets the tone doesn’t it – for a classy evening ?
