The Woo Woo appears to be a modern classic, but it doesn’t appear in any of our cocktail books, and the Sandbar is one we’ve developed specially for a client’s 50th party celebrations in Birmingham soon.

Recipes

Woo Woo   :    1  1/2 msrs vodka, 1  1/2 msrs peach schnapps, 3 measures cranberry juice. Shake with ice and pour.

The Sandbar   : 1  1/2 msrs Malibu, 1  1/2 msrs golden rum, 3 msrs pineapple juice. Again simply shake with ice, pour and enjoy.

The Sandbar has a real lazy Carribean feel to it. Remember “the sun always shines when it pours !” It’s summer so try some recipes and make yourself some delicious cocktails. You’ll be amazed how popular you become !

Let's make some new cocktails then

We’re planning on developing some fantastic new cocktails based around these unusual syrup flavours. They do something like 65 flavours and we’ve noticed a few coffee shops use them to make flavoured coffee.

We bought Ginger, Green Apple, Butterscotch, Lavender, more Green Apple, Cherry, Raspberry, Rose and Blue Curacao (non-alcoholic.)

We’re already using Monin Green Apple Syrup in the highly popular Green Apple Martini.

We use Rose in the in-house developed Belly Dancer, which has been compared to liquid Turkish Delight.

Stand by for some new cocktail recipes featuring these products, and we’ll post them on Twitter too. In the meantime we’re off to engage in a little liquid alchemy !

Cocktail Shaker Boys can be found on many of the social networking sites

Well the truth is that we’re putting ourselves about a bit on the social networking sites. We’re already on Twitter, so if you tweet and want to connect follow us at  http://twitter.com/CocktlShkrBoys .

We’ve also created a profile on Facebook, which has pictures and even video clips of some of the stuff we’ve been up to. You do need a Facebook account though in order to be able to access this. But if you’re an avid Facebooker, just key in Cocktail Shaker Boys in the search field and you’ll find the pics. You can add us ‘a friend’ and that way you will have access to all our info.

Finally we’re also now starting to post videos to YouTube – again under the name of Cocktail Shaker Boys. Honestly ! All this social networking is keeping us away from developing new cocktails – which isn’t such good news. So better get back to the bar ! See you soon, and enjoy yourself !

Cocktails being talked about on Harborough FM

The picture on the left shows Moley and Andrew hard at it, discussing how to get in the swing for the forthcoming festivities.  We talked about some easy cocktails and mixed drinks to make at home over Christmas.   We even had a couple of questions e-mailed in from listeners! One was listening online in London !

We’ll be back around Easter time to talk drinks for Easter and early summer. Stay tuned for more details as they say in radio land !

Think we’ll get some unusual Monin syrup flavours in and get mixing. Quite fancy working with liquorice, and or lavender, and probably butterscotch. What do you think ? And maybe cherry syrup.

Cocktails back on the radio in December

The interview will be Thursday 10th December, and we’ve not decided what to talk about yet, so we’re open to ideas.

Alternatively you can supply the alcohol, if you prefer. This gives you more control over your budget. For this we offer our make and shake service. We’ll agree with you in advance the bottles to get and then we’ll turn up on the night to make the drinks. We can even give you help and advice on where to source the things you will need.

Alternatively, you can do the lot, and just pick our brains with the Cocktail Shaker Boys personal advisor service. We simply charge you a flat fee (agreed in advance) and we’ll help you decide what drinks to offer, where to get the ingredients from and we can even help you get menus made up – if you want to be that flash !
