2 new cocktail recipes to try at home - courtesy of the Cocktail Shaker Boys appearing on Twitter. Try either of these summer specials. The Woo Woo cocktail and our own creation the Sandbar featuring Malibu coconut, golden rum and pineapple juice.

There’s nothing the cocktail shaker boys like more than to develop new cocktails. Well in truth we also like to drink them and share them with our friends and clients. It’s often said that “2 cocktails is too many but 3 isn’t enough !”We understand this. We are looking to produce a steady stream of new cocktail ideas that you can try at home or out, and we like to share these with you.

Woo Woo cocktail in the foreground and our own developed cocktail the Sandbar

We have found that we can add these to Twitter easily, so if Twitter is your thing, have a look for recipes, tips, buying advice and all sorts of random information about cocktails by following us http://twitter.com/CocktlShkrBoys. We add pictures where we can on Tweetphoto too. http://tweetphoto.com/19015213 shows you these 2 new ones.

The Woo Woo appears to be a modern classic, but it doesn’t appear in any of our cocktail books, and the Sandbar is one we’ve developed specially for a client’s 50th party celebrations in Birmingham soon.

Recipes

Woo Woo : 1 1/2 msrs vodka, 1 1/2 msrs peach schnapps, 3 measures cranberry juice. Shake with ice and pour.

The Sandbar : 1 1/2 msrs Malibu, 1 1/2 msrs golden rum, 3 msrs pineapple juice. Again simply shake with ice, pour and enjoy.

The Sandbar has a real lazy Carribean feel to it. Remember “the sun always shines when it pours !” It’s summer so try some recipes and make yourself some delicious cocktails. You’ll be amazed how popular you become !

Cocktail Shaker Boys also can help you develop new flavours and cocktail ideas. Not only do we make the established cocktails that we all know and love, but we also like getting our R&D lab coats on and developing new flavours and mixed drinks. We work with food companies to develop products and markets.

Recently the Cocktail Shaker Boys have been commissioned to help a major food company develop some new flavours for some new products. Terribly hush, hush so can’t say too much, but some pictures will appear at a later date ! Watch this space ….

Developing new cocktails based on some unusual flavours. In Market Harborough. Thinking of trying Monin syrups with liquorice, butterscotch, and lavender. Maybe also cherry. What say you ?

We’re keen to keep pushing the boundaries and develop some new cocktails based around some unusual flavours. So it’s time to dust off the white coat and go into the cocktail lab. Tough life eh ?!

Think we’ll get some unusual Monin syrup flavours in and get mixing. Quite fancy working with liquorice, and or lavender, and probably butterscotch. What do you think ? And maybe cherry syrup.

Liquorice based cocktails ? What do you think ?

We’re open to your ideas. Let us know at fun@cocktailshakerboys.co.uk what flavours you’d like to try cocktails based on. Also what do you think of these 3 or 4 we’re considering trying.

There must be worse jobs than experimenting with new cocktails musn’t there ?!
