Now for the fun bit. Choosing your cocktail menu! You may have already read that we generally run with a cocktail menu of 5+2 : that’s a choice of 5 cocktails and 2 non-alchoholic mocktails. Some customers opt for a menu of 6 cocktails instead.

We will put together a menu for you to suit your guests. Over the years, we’ve learned what people like. We’ll ask you for the age profile of your guests and the female : male split. We’ll put together a suggested menu to fit. A hen party menu for a group of hens will look very different for a gentleman’s 70th birthday party for instance.

On the next few pages you will find mention of some of the cocktails we supply. Hopefully, it’ll whet your appetite. And if anything in particular stands out as a must have, let us know. We’d encourage you to try some new cocktails from our list alongside your favourites. Who knows? We may just introduce you to your new favourite cocktail. In the meantime, we’ll work on coming up with a suggested menu for you all.

Tequila, orange juice, jalapeno chilli, grenadine

So good, you could name a song after it. A fine traditional cocktail, mixing fruity, spirity Tequila and orange juice. Ours comes with a dash of jalapeno to make it truly Mexican. A dash of grenadine gives it the glow to provide a striking drink.

Pedro Ximinez sherry, Talisker malt whisky, angostura bitters, orange oil

A fantastic modern take on one of the famous cocktails. Rich raisiny tones from PX sherry are combined with the lingering smokiness of the malt whisky. And breathe in that orange oil on the top. Definitely full-on flavour.

One of the world’s most evocative gin cocktails. Originating at Raffles Hotel in Singapore. This long concoction combines slightly floral gin with the nutty texture of cherry brandy. Not as sinful as the name suggests. This is one long, fruity drink.  Cranberry and orange juices provide the thirst quenching ability of this summer drink. Archers adds more peachy fruit, and vodka puts it on the wrong side of pure.
