Now for the fun bit. Choosing your cocktail menu! You may have already read that we generally run with a cocktail menu of 5+2 : that’s a choice of 5 cocktails and 2 non-alchoholic mocktails. Some customers opt for a menu of 6 cocktails instead.

We will put together a menu for you to suit your guests. Over the years, we’ve learned what people like. We’ll ask you for the age profile of your guests and the female : male split. We’ll put together a suggested menu to fit. A hen party menu for a group of hens will look very different for a gentleman’s 70th birthday party for instance.

On the next few pages you will find mention of some of the cocktails we supply. Hopefully, it’ll whet your appetite. And if anything in particular stands out as a must have, let us know. We’d encourage you to try some new cocktails from our list alongside your favourites. Who knows? We may just introduce you to your new favourite cocktail. In the meantime, we’ll work on coming up with a suggested menu for you all.

Manhattan

Rye whisky, sweet vermouth, angostura bitters

Quite simply a classic. Warming and light whisky shaken with a touch of sweet herbal vermouth, and a couple of drops of bitters to give it a nice mellow aftertaste. One for the boys?

Mai Tai

Golden rum, dark rum, orange curacao, Amaretto, lime juice & grenadine

Double lots of fully flavoured rum, combined with a little orange and di Saronno, balanced out with a little lime and grenadine to give a ruby colour.

Long Tall Sally

Brandy, dry vermouth, Galliano, Mandarine Napoleon, champagne

This is a nice albeit with a slightly complex flavour. A little brandy combines with French vermouth, and mandarin liqueur, with a dash of the distinctive Italian Galliano liqueur. Topped with champagne. Gorgeous.

Long Island Iced Tea

Vodka, Gin, Tequila, White Rum, Cointreau, lemon juice, Coca-Cola

One spirity, ‘take  your head off’ cocktail. Modern, trendy and it just looks like plain old coke. But it’s really the wayward brother! You’ve been warned!!

Lavender Martini

Vanilla vodka, Noilly Prat dry vermouth, lavender syrup

A proper Martini style cocktail, combining subtle vanilla vodka with the classy Noilly Prat dry vermouth. Our twist is that we then add some fragrant lavender syrup to take this humble Martini to another level. Try it, see if you agree.

Single champagne cocktail

Kismet

Gin, apricot brandy, stem ginger syrup, Prosecco

A sparkly but fragrant long cocktail. Apricot brandy combines well with the heat of stem ginger. Gin as a base and sparkles to top. A little-known classic

Kir Royale

Lemon vodka, creme de cassis, Prosecco

Our twist on one of the world’s famous cocktails. The standard mix is to add a shot of creme de cassis blackcurrant liqueur to your shot of Prosecco. We make ours a little drier with the addition of some lemon vodka too. Try it.

Jam Doughnut

Vodka, Raspberry vodka, crème de framboise, raspberry syrup

A great new cocktail based around the unctuous taste of raspberry.  A double dose of vodka, set off with a classic French raspberry liqueur gives this cocktail bite. All underlined with a further dash of sweet raspberry syrup.

Icelandic Sea Breeze

Gin, lychee juice, grapefruit

A sharp cocktail and fairly light, so a great one to slow the pace slightly. We mix quality gin with a winning combination of fruit juices. The floral sweetness of exotic lychee combines superbly with the zing of a little grapefruit.

Green Apple Martini

Green Apple Martini

Gin, Sourz apple liqueur, apple syrup, pressed apple juice

One we adapted from Nigella.  A sharp blend of distinctive gin, mixed with apply Apple Sourz. And as if that wasn’t enough we then mix in some super zingy apple syrup ! Lengthened with apple juice. How apples should really taste !
