Cocktail menus are an important part of what we put together for you at your party or function.
It’s all about having a great range of delicious cocktails to go with your event right? Well yes it is, but it’s also about having a range of cocktails which suit the audience. We like to ensure that we nail it – by providing the ‘right’ cocktails to match the audience, the event, the age group and even the time of year.
We’ve been running the Cocktail Shaker Boys for a number of years, and frankly we’ve learned a lot along the way. Certainly these days a menu we’d offer a hen party of 20 somethings would be quite different to a 50th, 60th or 70th birthday party with equal numbers of men and women. If you’re planning out a birthday party for a significant birthday in Northampton or Leicester and it’s a significant one (50th, 60th and 70th) we may well offer you brandy and whisky on the menu. These are the ones the men will typically go for. Shorter, spirity and based on the dark spirits.
Basquezera – one for hen party cocktail menus
By contrast if you’re planning out a hen party, we’ll go big on the vodka, gin (usually) and tequila. Your cocktails will tend to be different colours too, such as the chocolate & chilli infused vodka based Basquezera. But if you want whisky to be included on your hen party menu, then that is fine too. Of course. As we did recently in Bristol.
For summer we’ll tend towards the longer, fruitier cocktails and we’ll go light on the cream and Baileys. If it’s Christmas though, the creamy ones and the sparkly ones shine. We also ensure that the cocktail menu we put together for you is balanced, by which we mean it has a variety of spirits on it and a variety of styles : short and spirity, long and fruity, sparkly, creamy etc. Something for everyone we hope.
