First, this in-house developed cocktail lives under 2 names. Confusing potentially. We created it first around having a strong raspberry thing going on. Ophelia’s tipple it became. With the Shakespearean vibe, we imagined that it might be the sort of thing that Ophelia might sip on a balmy summer’s afternoon, or evening. Our Ophelia’s tipple is made using the following;
- 2 msrs vodka
- 2 msrs Chamberyzette (a strawberry vermouth)
- 1 msr Monin raspberry syrup
We recommend serving it in a Martini glass for a touch of extra class. Also ensure it is nicely chilled.
Jam doughnut cocktail recipe
The second version of the same drink was created for a tasting event we were running at a local wine shop. We wanted to feature products sold in the shop exclusively and so we created a new version of the drink. Our new riff is made using equal quantities of the following;
- Vodka
- Two Birds raspberry vodka (the distillery is now closed, sadly)
- Creme de Framboise
- Monin raspberry syrup
Admittedly this cocktail is sweet but if you’re creating a cocktail based on a jam doughnut, it’s going to be sweet, right? Then we gild the lily and add sugar to the rim. So it really is a liquid version of a jam doughnut.

We find that whenever this cocktail appears on our cocktail menu it is always a popular choice.

So if you’re planning for a hen party, consider the jam doughnut. It’s a good ‘un and something a bit different to the Pornstar Martinis and Cosmopolitans. However if you’re booking us for your 40th birthday party you may fancy the slightly drier version – our original Ophelia’s tipple.
