Now for the fun bit. Choosing your cocktail menu! You may have already read that we generally run with a cocktail menu of 5+2 : that’s a choice of 5 cocktails and 2 non-alchoholic mocktails. Some customers opt for a menu of 6 cocktails instead.

We will put together a menu for you to suit your guests. Over the years, we’ve learned what people like. We’ll ask you for the age profile of your guests and the female : male split. We’ll put together a suggested menu to fit. A hen party menu for a group of 10 hens will look very different for a gentleman’s 70th birthday party for instance.

On the next few pages you will find mention of some of the cocktails we supply. Hopefully, it’ll whet your appetite. And if anything in particular stands out as a must have, let us know! But in the meantime, we’ll work on coming up with a suggested menu for you all.

English Garden cocktail recipe

English Garden

Gin, St. Germain elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, sugar syrup, pressed apple juice, soda water, mint

Ok, so this cocktail has lots of ingredients. But this is Summer in a glass. Ever so fashionable gin combines well with the taste of elderflower. The rest is the supporting cast : lemon, sugar syrup, lengthened with cloudy apple. We add a little soda for sparkle – garnished with mint.

Bramble cocktail

Bramble

Gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup, creme de mure

A modern day classic developed by Dick Bradsell. Ours combines a quality gin, balanced out with a little lemon and sugar syrup. Then float a little blackberry liqueur through the ice. A fantastic sipper.

New England

Bourbon, pressed apple juice, maple spice syrup

If Autumn was a cocktail, this is what it would taste like. Warming and sweet notes of Bourbon, sit comfortably with refreshing apple. We also add our American twist: a little maple spice to make a perfect blend.

Rosadka Martini

Lanique rose liqueur, Martini rosato vermouth, rose syrup, rhubarb bitters

A traditional Martini with a modern twist. Think spirity Martini meets Turkish delight.  Beautiful rose tinted Lanique mixes with the fruity rosato vermouth. Add a little rose syrup to bring out the rose flavour and some fruity bitters to cut through the sweetness.

Long Tall Sally

Brandy, dry vermouth, Galliano, Mandarine Napoleon, champagne

This is a nice albeit slightly complex flavour. A little brandy combines with French vermouth, and mandarin liqueur, with a dash of the distinctive Italian Galliano liqueur. Topped with champagne. Gorgeous.

Icelandic Sea Breeze

Gin, lychee juice, grapefruit

A sharp cocktail and fairly light, so a great one to slow the pace slightly. We mix quality gin with a winning combination of fruit juices. The floral sweetness of exotic lychee combines superbly with the zing of a little grapefruit.

Aperol Spritz

Aperol Spritz

Aperol, Prosecco, soda water

A modern day classic already. The world’s top selling spritz and a Mediterranean holiday favourite. A double shot of Prosecco, with sparkly Prosecco and a dash of soda.

RnB

Rye whisky, Jack Daniels honey liqueur, cinnamon syrup, black walnut bitters

One for the boys? And yet this isn’t spirity. With a base of soft slightly spicy Canadian rye combined with the mellow sweetness of JD honey. We add a little cinnamon to give this a perfectly balanced flavour.

Rusty Nail cocktail

Rusty Nail

Scotch whisky, Drambuie, stem ginger, orange bitters

Our take on a classic 2 ingredient cocktail. The balance of scotch whisky with the sweetness of Drambuie’s whisky and heather honey is fantastic. We offer to add a little stem ginger and some orange bitters to give it more complexity. But they’re optional of course.

Rhubarb Martini

Rhubarb gin, rosato vermouth, rhubarb syrup, rhubarb bitters

A great modern cocktail based around our local Warner Edwards rhubarb gin. What’s not to like? Traditional Martini : gin and vermouth, with a little rhubarb sweetness, balanced with rhubarb bitters.
