Rubicon fruit juices are just ideal for your summer cocktails. At the time of writing this, temperatures are again in the 30s. Just what a British Summer should be all about, but frequently aren’t!
Our tip for cocktails this weekend is to focus on long fruity, refreshing concoctions. If you’re looking for ideas, we think putting together some great summer cocktails for garden sipping is fairly easy & needn’t be expensive.
Rubicon fruit juices, mixed with some more standard fruit juices such as cranberry, orange, pineapple and grapefruit and you’re off to a good start. Maybe some light mixers to lengthen your drink such as soda water, or lemonade, or maybe even something sparkly such as cava or Prosecco and you’re nearly there. Then of course just choose your base spirit or liqueur. We suggest Gin, Vodka (try a flavoured one if you’re feeling brave), white rum or silver tequila, Cointreau, Malibu (for that coconutty vibe) or Archers and you’re good to go.
The other vital ingredients are those refreshing add-ins such as limes, (the fruit and or some bottled juice) and some mint maybe, or cucumber. You just know that added together this lot is gonna be good don’t you?!
Rubicon for summer cocktails
Rubicon fruit juices are just great for all of you budding mixologists. They have exotic and fresh flavours, such as Lychee, Mango, Papaya, Guanabana (yeah we don’t know either) and Guava. They are all ‘proper’ juices (i.e. not from concentrate) and you can find them at many good supermarkets. Large format stores such as Asda carry a good selection.
They mix well with other juices. We’ve developed new cocktails that combine guava with orange, lychee with grapefruit, mango with orange and papaya juice is a key ingredient in the Zombie. But given that the Zombie is about as strong a cocktail you can get, we’ll not encourage you.
Go spend a £10 – get some fruit juices in, some fruit and mint and then a couple of mixers. If you want any recipes for any of this stuff contact us here or through our Facebook page. Happy summer garden cocktails! Cheers!
