We had a great party in Northamptonshire recently to help Natalie and her friends celebrate her rather special birthday.
40th birthday cocktails – Northamptonshire
The French 75 was particularly popular early on. It is a fantastic prohibition cocktail, based around Prosecco and in this case Tanqueray gin. All it needs is a little lemon juice and sugar syrup and it’s perfect. Gin combined with Prosecco – what’s not to like?
We also brought back the AWOL which comes out bright green, so it’s always popular. The green Midori melon liqueur is the star in this cocktail, and it works well with vodka and Bacardi.
Perhaps surprisingly we also served quite a few of our star mocktails too : the China Blue and the Merry Berry Cherry. The kids had lots of these and then inevitably started to try outdoing each other with ever more bespoke, colourful and outrageous combinations. It’s all in an evening’s work for us Cocktail Shaker Boys.
We’re looking forward to even more menu options as Summer approaches. Let’s hope it’s a good, warm one.
